Recognizing the revolutionary potential of Fannie Mae's and Freddie Mac's AUS (Automated Underwriting Systems), SunTrust Mortgage's senior management vowed to make AUS implementation a strategic goal throughout all our business lines. Intensive training began. Efficiencies were measured and process flows modified to help us better handle the increased business these automated systems made possible.

Today, we lead the industry in loan production via Desktop Underwriter, Desktop Originator, and Loan Prospector. Our account executives are trained in all facets of AUS, with a focus on data integrity, underwriting guidelines, marketing strategies, monitoring production, troubleshooting, and making deals work. In the most recent curriculum, a multilevel course also teaches them how to educate their customers about this complex service.
