Production Assistant
This individual assists with sales functions. The loan officer pays the assistant's salary.

Many Production Assistants view their position as a stepping-stone to a career in loan production. The loan officer they work with acts as their mentor, coaching them in the skills and work habits they need to acquire.

Production Specialist
Specialists handle primarily clerical and administrative duties, which may include taking applications and obtaining missing information as well as interacting with customers.

SunTrust Mortgage determines the compensation of this position, commensurate with production level. Several compensation options are available. If appropriate, the Production Specialist may be shared with another loan officer.
