SunTrust Mortgage's pricing strategy gives our loan officers a significant competitive advantage. In essence, we provide the Suggested Retail Price and allow you to optimize it for your local market.

After receiving daily pricing from our Richmond headquarters via our intranet, the local or regional office may apply an allowance or subsidy to improve the pricing based on product type, loan size, and general market conditions. Any subsidy that exceeds the allowance is considered an overage and is split with the company.

Other pricing advantages include:

  • New account flexibility. When you are developing business in new subdivisions or Realtor accounts, we may allow an extra competitive edge, as necessary, without reducing your commissions.
  • Intra-day rate locks. Price changes within the course of a day are rare, but offer a brief window of opportunity to lock in pre-change rates in qualified circumstances.
